about the founder
Behind Akinom, Florian Wernert
With degrees in art history and economics and management, Florian Wernert worked in the footwear industry, working directly with materials, shapes, and customer expectations. This experience, combined with a strong aesthetic sensibility, led him to explore a garment that men wear every day but often pay little attention to: underwear.
Florianl strives to offer men true comfort, thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail, without sacrificing elegance. For him, male well-being is achieved through freedom of movement, the use of high-quality materials, natural support, and impeccable fit—elements that directly influence self-confidence and self-assurance in everyday life.
Our commitments
a brand with values
Akinom upholds values that guide its business model towards greater sustainability and responsibility . This translates into good inventory management, not systematically selling off products, and offering consistent and stable prices and discounts all year round. Respect for the environment is no longer an option and is not a marketing stance; it is part of the company's daily actions.
Our products are manufactured in Portugal using short supply chains using premium materials. Our products have various certifications .
Our products are technical, requiring a greater number of operations compared to simpler products.
These combined elements justify a higher price than competing products, often from large imports, made from less responsible materials.
Our manufacturing workshops are located in Portugal .
These are family businesses that have obtained Oeko Tex Standard 100 certification, guaranteeing the responsible quality of our production.
Short circuit , materials and components, packaging are produced within a 50km radius of each workshop.

an ethical brand
Responsible materials
At AKINOM, comfort and performance cannot come at the expense of the planet or your health.
That's why we only use high-quality fibers from responsible sources, all OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified. This certification guarantees that every component – from the knitwear to the belt – is free from substances harmful to skin and the environment.
Our materials are chosen for their natural and sustainable qualities:
Organic cotton: soft, breathable, grown without pesticides or harmful chemicals.

Lyocell: ecological fiber made from wood pulp, silky, breathable and naturally antibacterial.
Modal: known for its softness and strength, made from certified beech fibers.
We prioritize limiting fiber blends as much as possible in order to preserve the purity of the materials, guarantee their natural performance and facilitate their recycling.
Producing responsibly also means manufacturing locally in Guimarães, Portugal, where the knitwear is knitted, the belts are made, and each piece is carefully assembled. This proximity reduces transportation and ensures constant quality control.
At AKINOM, underwear isn't just a comfort essential: it's also a conscious choice that respects your body and limits its impact on the planet.
